Cut butter into flour. Sprinkle with water and form into a ball. Cut in half and spread side be side on an upside down cookie sheet, approximately 12 x 3 inches each. Mix butter and water in sauce pan, bring to a boil. Remov=e from heat, add almond flavoring and flour. Mix well, adding one egg at a time and then mixing. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, let cool. Spread with white frosting, sprinkle with slivered almonds or nuts.
